Mount Marathon, Alaska

This painting was created during my first trip to Alaska — a place that felt almost unreal. Seeing mountains stretch endlessly in every direction left me completely in awe. I was inspired by every minute of that visit.

Mount Marathon stood just behind a small Safeway, which felt wild to me. The most ordinary errand — a simple grocery run — and there it was: one of the most beautiful mountains, just existing in the background.

That contrast stayed with me.
How extraordinary beauty can live inside our most ordinary moments.

This piece holds that feeling for me.
I hope it reminds you to look up — even on the most everyday days.
